Formal talking relaxation therapies are great, but how about a more fun, informal one between friends we may have never even met?
The relaxation therapies we use within our live online Zen02 fitness and wellbeing classes include our group get together 'Satzoomer' (private, members only!) chat sessions where we just talk without agenda. It is live on Saturdays on Zoom (hence the name).
Yes! We are a keep fit outfit. However, our classes are strong on relaxation therapies as well.
SatZoomer has no formal agenda, although we love to get feedback on the classes. We sometimes ask for things that you made you happy in your week, but there's no pressure. You are not required to be entertaining, interesting or anything else you might otherwise feel required to be in other types of social situations.
We just like your company. We just want you, as you are, no frills.
If you haven't used Zoom yet, neither had we before lockdown, it's just an app you download like any other - we'll help if you're a non-techie.
You can be walking the dog, standing on top of a mountain, watching a waterfall, in your favourite coffee shop, or just sitting on your sofa or at your desk at home, or sitting in the garden or in a park. As long as you've got a couple of bars of a signal on your phone, you're in.

We run live online classes everyday - some of them are cardio/aerobic/resistance (based on martial arts training), some are mindful and mats, some are mindful meditation based.

We're here to support and uplift. Normally the Satzoomer get-togethers feel wonderfully normal and non-eventful. But that the beauty and the secret sauce. We're not changing the world, we're sharing each others being in the moment, doing something and doing nothing. No problem either way.
Relaxation therapies are not a case of just trying to deflect and deny and pretend everything is ok when it might not be, because that is proven not to work in the long run.
Talking therapies are the same. It's about being there to listen and to share. Simple as that.
That's a shift in thinking. We don't have to try to be clever or entertaining, just yourself. If cracking one liners is you, bring it on. If you just prefer to listen, you're golden.
It's more a case of having an opportunity in the week to practice how to switch to constructive reflection.
